In ‘Brotherhood’ man is contrasted with the universe. > The contrast is between the littleness or insignificance of man and the enormity or vastness of the universe. Also, man’s life is finite whereas the life of the universe extends to infinity.

The final image is of man merging with the universe. The stars that are elements of the universe write his destiny for forging a link between man and the universe. This organic link leads to the final image of inclusion that reverses the previous image of alienation.
